We are committed to supporting Native American communities, and a portion of our profits are donated to related Native nonprofits and organizations. Our brand is for everyone that appreciates and wants to show their support for indigenous people. We are filling a hole in the market that is missing the voice of the people. Our mission is to teach the youth the importance of embracing culture and history while building a Native American clothing company. We do that by crafting Native apparel designs that you can be proud to wear. Modern Native American clothing and Native prints that have a deeper meaning.Our team is made up of natives from several tribes. (Red Lake Ojibwa, Fond du Lac Chippewa, Native Hawaiian, Kiowa, Choctaw and collaborations with artists from MANY other tribes) We design and ship everything in house.

Our artwork brings to light indigenous issues and challenges the institutions censoring our existence. Jamie Okuma is Luiseno, Shoshone-Bannock, Wailaki, and Okinawan who is also an enrolled member of the La Jolla band of Indians in Southern California where she lives and works. She specializes in one-of-a-kind pieces that are hand-executed exclusively by the artist herself in all details of process, while also designing ready to wear fashions.

Niio Perkins is an acclaimed Mohawk designer. Her jewelry is immediately recognizable in the Indigenous fashion world for its precision, masterful use of color, and innovative expression of Haudenosaunee cultural design motifs. Niio’s eponymous brand is defined by its authentic representation of a generations-old Haudenosaunee art form known as raised beadwork. The technique requires sewing glass beads in layers to create intricate, three-dimensional designs. Her designs have appeared on television, runways, and red carpets, and in exhibitions and galleries throughout the United States and Canada.

Lauren Good Day “Good Day Woman” is an Multi- award winning Arikara, Hidatsa, Blackfeet and Plains Cree artist & sought after fashion designer. She is an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes (Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara Nation) of the Ft. Berthold Reservation in North Dakota, USA and also a registered Treaty Indian with the Sweet Grass Cree First Nation in Saskatchewan, Canada. She has shown her artwork at the world’s most prestigious Native American juried art shows such as the Santa Fe Indian Market in Santa Fe NM, Heard Guild Museum Market in Phoenix AZ, Autry American Indian Arts Marketplace Los Angeles CA, Eiteljorg Museum Indian Market Indianapolis IN, Cherokee Indian Market in Tulsa OK, Red Earth Fine Arts Festival in Oklahoma City OK and the Northern Plains Indian Art Show in Sioux Falls SD. Lauren has passion for promoting and revitalizing the arts of her people while developing new methods and incorporating new trendsetting ideas in both the art & designs communities. She has been creating Native American art since age 6. Starting out with beadwork and Tribal regalia, she then expanded her work into mediums such as quillwork, ledger drawings, rawhide parfleche, and fashion design.

Beyond Buckskin launched in 2009 by Jessica R. Metcalfe (Turtle Mountain Chippewa) as a website dedicated to showcasing and promoting our continent's first artists and original designers. In 2012, the original blog website expanded to include an online boutique as well. The origin story of this boutique is rooted in positive activism and a desire to share our cultures with the world through fashion design. Based out of North Dakota, Beyond Buckskin is dedicated to advancing creative small businesses located throughout rural and urban communities by providing an online store where customers can connect with Native American fashion designers and jewelry artists.

Our inspiration is the all the surrounds us here in the Southwest. The clouds, the sky, the mountains, the land, which has led our founder back to New Mexico, and back to her Diné tribe. Founded in 2015 by Amy Denet Deal (formerly Yeung), fueled by a desire to honor her Indigeneity, and to be of service to commUNITY.

Our company is named after my kid brother, Winston and late grandpa Paul. Winston Paul is inspired from a mixture of traditional and street art to the urban and traditional music of our ancestor. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is a mother, grandmother, Social Worker and Fashion Designer. At our core, we are the opposite of fast fashion. From pattern placement to zipper selection, every detail of our jackets is crafted slowly with intentionality and care.

She is Bear Clan from Oneida Nation of the Thames, grew up off-reserve and currently lives in Kitchener, Ontario.
