Talking Circles

Talking Circles are a fundamental aspect of community building and relations, this is a space for individuals to share their experiences in trauma-informed and facilitated spaces and cultivate community based relations. Join us during one of our monthly Talking Circles at the TCIKH Caney, our downtown Ithaca, NY location.

We currently offer monthly Women’s Talking Circles, Community Talking Circles, and the Sex Ed. Cafe.

Book Club

We view literature, alongside oral tradition and experiential scholarship, as an important tool to expand knowledge. This is an opportunity for all community members to partake in the reading and discussion of Indigenous literature.

Books will be fully subsidized for all participants self-identifying as Indigenous, Black, POC, refugee, immigrant, and in reentry.

Workshops

Offering community-based workshops on Healing Intergenerational Trauma and Seed Sovereignty. Through this programming, we provide tools and knowledge on the fundamental aspects necessary in community autonomy.

Ancestral Pathways Internship

The Ancestral Pathways Intern internship is an opportunity for young, self-identified Indigenous, Black, POC, immigrant, refugee community members based in and around Ithaca, NY. The intern will be imbedded in and an integral part of the team, learning about Healing Intergenerational Trauma, Program Curriculum Development, and Community Organizing and Advocacy work.

This is an annual opportunity and applications are closed for 2023.
