As Indigenous people, it is our duty to protect and defend the children. Right now, the Cayuga (Gayogohó:no’) children have been under threat by Hired Private Mercenary Security under the guise of the Cayuga Nation Police force under the command of Clint Halftown. These mercenaries are not sanctioned by the BIA. They children are being followed, harassed and the local law enforcement has been directed to stand down. Aside from being under the protection of their parents, whom are also under attack, they are being left vulnerable, as well as traumatized. We are organizing because #CayugaKidsMatter.
