Indigenous Culture Bearers
Traditional Indigenous Medicine
Semillistas uplifts Indigenous Culture Bearers who are practicing Traditional Indigenous Medicine.
Traditional Indigenous Medicine supports Intergenerational Healing by promoting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health through wellness and alignment. These ancestral practices are a relevant means of addressing the dis-ease experienced globally today.
Culture Bearers and Practitioners featured by Semillistas are committed to healing-informed and trauma-informed practices. These Practitioners spend many years learning from other master practitioners in apprenticeship and provide support with tools and knowledge to assist a person in their healing process.
Our focus is ensuring the health and wellness of the next generations. Maternal, infant and reproductive health disparities affect Indigenous communities disproportionately. We provide specific support for people who bleed, and/or are seeking fertility, prenatal, birth and postpartum care, regardless of pregnancy outcome. Traditional Indigenous Medicine is not exclusive; we strive to support all members of our communities.
Healing is in the spirit of the person seeking healing, and in the hands of the person providing support.
